Great to finally see some more love for Dr. Sarno, who was way ahead of his time. Reading him helped me overcome random back pain by getting in touch with some deep trauma.

Hi Bob, great to hear from you! Not very woo in terms of the Leading Edge but highly effective :)

As I mentioned, I didn't pay much attention until I saw the much broader implications... I guess it turned me into a missionary :)

Thank you for your advice in this post and others encouraging the act of physical journaling. Funny enough, I used to do it all the time as a kid -- I'm not sure why I ever stopped, but thank you for the inspiration to pick it back up.

I think of journaling as the one practice that anchored me in writing in a decade when I wrote and read very little outside of work. But today I do it more intentionally: journal before bed to revisit the day, mindbody journaling to go into emotions, resistance, creativity, inner dialogue. Wishing you all the best!
